The Strategies to Overcome and Prevent (STOP) Obesity Alliance comprises a diverse group of individual, government, advocacy, business, and health organizations dedicated to reversing the obesity epidemic in the United States. Drawing on the strengths of the collaborative, the Alliance conducts research, makes policy recommendations, and develops hands-on tools for providers, advocates, consumers, and policymakers.

Obesity Action Coalition

OAC is an organization that works toward helping individuals along their journey toward better health through education, advocacy, awareness and support. Its core focuses are to raise awareness and improve access to the prevention and treatment of obesity, provide science-based education on obesity and its treatments, fight to eliminate weight bias and discrimination, elevate the conversation of weight and its impact on health and offer a community of support for the individual affected.

Meeting Objectives

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the development and domains of the Age-Friendly Health Systems 4Ms Framework.
  • Explain the alignment between the 4Ms Framework and the new CMS inpatient quality measure for age-friendly care.
  • Examine how Luminis Health implemented the 4Ms Framework, identifying practical strategies and lessons for the new CMS age-friendly measure.

Nomination Period Open for PCMP Breast Cancer Screening Clinician Expert Workgroup

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and its measure developer are seeking nominations for the Clinician Expert Workgroup that will provide input on the development of the Breast Cancer Screening episode-based cost measure for potential use in the Quality Payment Program (QPP). The nomination period opened on June 2, and interested clinicians are invited to submit nominations between now and June 23, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. ET, with the first workgroup meeting scheduled to occur in July 2025.

Nomination Period Open for TEP for Outpatient Quality Measure Re-Specification

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and its contractor, Acumen, LLC, are seeking nominations for a Technical Expert Panel (TEP) that will provide input to re-specify the Breast Cancer Screening Recall Rate measure (OP-39) that is currently in use in the Hospital Outpatient Quality Reporting (HOQR) program.

The nomination period opened today and interested parties are invited to submit nominations between now and June 17, 2025.
