Public Comment Open for Clinical Quality Measures in Development: Preventive Care and Wellness composite through April 28, 2022

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has contracted with Mathematica and its partners to develop, specify, and maintain clinical quality measures for eligible clinicians for potential consideration and use in CMS quality programs. The contract name is Electronic Clinical Quality Measures (eCQM) Development and Maintenance for Eligible Clinicians (CMS contract #75FCMC18D0032, Task Order #75FCMC19F0004). As part of its measure development process, Mathematica seeks public comments from stakeholders and experts who contribute direction and thoughtful input to the measure developer during measure development and maintenance.

Mathematica invites comments on the Preventive Care and Wellness composite measure. We welcome all comments and are particularly interested in receiving feedback related to potential use of the composite, negative unintended consequences of inclusion in MIPS, impact on health disparities, and challenges or risks with moving forward with measure implementation.
