Nomination Period Open for PCMP Coronary Artery Disease Clinician Expert Workgroup

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), together with its measure developer, is seeking nominations for a Clinician Expert Workgroup. This workgroup will provide input on the development of the Coronary Artery Disease episode-based cost measure, which may be considered for inclusion in the Quality Payment Program (QPP).

As part of the ongoing measure development process, CMS convenes “workgroups”, comprised of interested parties, to provide input on the specifications of cost measures through cycles, known as “waves” of development. The current workgroup is being formed as part of Wave 8.

For more information about cost measures and the development process, please visit the CMS.gov Cost Measures Information page.

The nomination period for Wave 8 opened September 28th. Clinicians interested in participating are encouraged submit nominations by October 23rd, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET. The first workgroup meeting is scheduled for December 2026.

Clinicians interested in joining the Wave 8 Coronary Artery Disease workgroup may submit their nomination through the web-based nomination form.
