HL7 Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources® (FHIR®) is the next-generation standard for electronic healthcare data exchange, supporting improved interoperability across clinical settings. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is exploring the transition of electronic clinical quality measures (eCQMs) to digital quality measures (dQMs) using FHIR-based standards to enable standardized, electronic data sharing.

As CMS seeks public comment on draft dQMs, you are invited you to a webinar highlighting the transition to FHIR based standards and what to expect for the dQM Public Comment Period.

The Quality Data Implementation (QDI) user group reviews standards and data models used to express quality measures. As CMS quality measurement transitions to the use of Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) standards, the group has increased its focus on FHIR-based models, especially Quality Improvement (QI)-Core. To enhance implementer participation in addressing real‑world data availability, the QDI user group provides a collaborative forum for implementers, measure developers, standards experts, and other stakeholders to share insights, identify real-world challenges, and work toward alignment across quality data models.
