Nomination Period Now Open for Physician Cost Measures and Patient Relationship Codes (PCMP) TEP

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and its contractor, Acumen, LLC, are seeking nominations for the Physician Cost Measures and Patient Relationship Codes (PCMP) Technical Expert Panel (TEP) that will provide input on the following topics:

  • Episode-based cost and value measures for use in the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS)
  • Patient relationship categories (PRC) and codes 
  • Population-based cost measures for MIPS and the Hospital Value-based Purchasing (Hospital VBP) program.

The nomination period opened on October 28th, and interested clinicians are invited to submit nominations between now and November 18th, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. ET.  

The TEP is expected to meet twice per year through 2029. The first meeting for this TEP is a virtual meeting in December 2024.

Clinicians interested in joining a TEP for the first time and previous TEP members should fill out the full web-based nomination form to ensure that we have the most recent information.
