Public Comment Opportunity: Equity of Emergency Care Capacity and Quality (ECCQ) Electronic Clinical Quality Measure (eCQM)

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has contracted with Yale New Haven Health Services Corporation – Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation (CORE) to develop a measure of emergency care capacity and quality. This measure will be an electronic clinical quality measure (eCQM) determining emergency department (ED) care capacity and quality. The contract name is Measure & Instrument Development and Support (MIDS): Development, Reevaluation, and Implementation of Outpatient Outcome/Efficiency Measures, Option Period 4. The contract number is HHSM-75FCMC18D0042. As part of its measure development process, CORE requests interested parties to submit comments on the candidate or concept measures that may be suitable for this project. The primary objective of this project is to evaluate the equity of emergency care capacity and quality.

The Call for Public Comment period opened on January 17, 2024 and closes on February 16, 2024.
